suomiDESIGN

One fine summerday at my grandmothers kitchen. A table is set for an afternoon cofee. Grandmother has taken out the very best Arabia cups with golden rose details. I sit at the end of the table looking innocent and observing what happens around me. When I am quite sure that nobody can see me, I lift the cramer and drink everything… little cream cat leaves the table whit a happy smile… Am not quite sure if my grandmother knew who it was, she never said anything. Of course this was not onetime event… {memory of an arabia creamer}

suomiDESIGN was a subtle everyday items in blending hues. Now in my our home these childhood memories have the place of honored guests. Treasures from grandmothers and mother have been revisited many times. New old memories are found from fleemarkets.

Arabia, Iittala, Riihimäen Lasi, Marimekko – - everyday treasures and nostalgia fillen stories.
